Schedule for Week of 23 April:

Students in ALL Bands will turn in the responses to the questions for Orwell's Politics and the English Language. If your band does not meet on Monday, you will hand deliver the assignment to me in Room 404-you will NOT place it in my mailbox in the General Office. If you are absent on Monday, you will email me the assignment-send as a MS Word attachment. Upon your return to school, you will hand me a "hard" copy of the assignment.

On Monday (G Band) and on Tuesday (A and B Band), Ms. B. from the College Office will visit so that your response sheet for the AP Exam can be filled-in. Bring a #2 pencil-Pay close attention to the instructions given.

Bring your TEWWG novel to class everyday this week.

Rhetorical Devices (Examples) Test #2- Thursday, 19 April:
I suggest you familiarize yourself with the definitions of the following devices as well as the related examples- You must identify the examples for each device not its definition:

NOTE: Do you know that the "giving and/or receiving of test information" is PLAGIARISM! You do this in college and the administration will send you home-imagine your parents' reaction...All I can do is refuse your request for a college letter of recommendation-surely, you do not want me to include a statement that you are a "PLAGIARIZER"!

IF you were absent for the Timed Write (Question #3 on the AP Exam-you must take it on Monday/Tuesday (4/17) during 371/2 minutes. It seems odd that the same individuals are usually absent on these days. Be advised that I have changed the question...Do you really think that I would give you the same test?

Schedule for Week of 2 April

This week we will continue with The Argument Essay (Question #3-DCQ-on the AP Language and Composition Examination. I suggest you view the videos/power-points that appear below prior to entering class this week.
ALL BANDS WILL TAKE THE RHETORICAL DEVICE QUIZ-SEE POST BELOW-ON TUESDAY, 3 APRIL. (10 minutes maximum)
Bring your TEWWG novel to class on Tuesday-Do NOT ask to go to your locker to retrieve it-you will NOT be permitted to do so-you will receive a "0" for being unprepared for class!
TIMED WRITE; DCQ ESSAY-ON THURSDAY, 5 APRIL. Please refer to the resources that appear on this blog-click on "older posts". (If you plan on being absent, take it on Wednesday, 4 April.)
