NOTE: Since you are required to submit "ONE" Dialectical Journal for every TWO chapters, you should work ahead without being directed to do so. Also, too many of the responses I have read are more of a "retelling" without an "analysis". Even though you are NOT writing a paragraph response, you may desire to refer to the Language Analysis Paragraph Rubric as a guide in generating a response. Furthermore, I am not seeing too many references to rhetorical devices. Carefully, select that ONE sentence/passage that stands-out for you. (Refer to your handouts and/or online resources.)
Dialectical Journal for Chapters 3 and 4 due: Thursday, 29 March.
Topic for: Rhetorical Analysis for TV Commercial/AD/ PSA due Tuesday, 27 March. Remember, I am only requesting a "brief" description, along with the url. Please remember to include the "exact" title so I will be able to view it myself if the url was not properly "copied and pasted".
For this week, you are to bring TEWWG everyday. We will also work on Question #3-the DCQ question.
I will soon post the specific devices for the next quiz-identify the term with the example. QUIZ will most likely be given on Tuesday, 3 April-ample time for preparation.
Remind your folks about the Parent Teacher meetings this week. If your parents can not make it, other arrangements can be made.
"Study" the video/power-points that appear below-especially the one on DICTION.
