This is an assignment that will require "close reading" of both essays-even though-you have been provided with a considerable amount of background information on the former essay-along with suggested responses to this essay-see "Exploring the Text" discussion.
At any moment during your class this week, I may distribute a writing "prompt" for these essays and/or a MC Question assessment for one OR both of these assigned readings. STUDENTS IN ALL OF THE BANDS SHOULD HAVE COMPLETED A CLOSE READING OF BOTH ESSAYS BY THE TIME THEY ENTER THE CLASSROOM ON TUESDAY, 1 APRIL!
